Today’s (15.11.2023) judgement confirms what we have known all along – not only is the Rwanda policy immoral, it is also illegal.
Now, it is time for a new approach from government: one that prioritises compassion and responsibility over cruelty and deterrence. The UK we know is one of welcome and empathy.
We will continue to make the Jewish case for an asylum system where people seeking sanctuary live in dignity.
